2) a) What, exactly, is Carr's argument. Does he literally think that 'IT Doesn't Matter'?

b) What is a "sustainable competitive advantage" according to the lecture? Can you think of any firms that have used IT to achieve one?

3) a) How plausible do you find claims that the "total cost of ownership" of a networked desktop PC could be as high as $14,000 for a large corporation?

b) Thinking about your own use of information technology, do you think that computers have made you more or less productive? Have you achieved any kind of competitive advantage over your classmates or rivals in the job market?

4) a) Do you think that the increased trend toward the international outsourcing of IT work is likely to significantly diminish employment prospects for American IT workers?

b) What kinds of work are most and least likely to be successfully outsourced from the US? How might this affect your career plans?
