Assignments

There will be three main written homework assignments. Some assignments require students to use Oracle DBMS. Visit http://www.cis.drexel.edu/crc/usrmgr/ to request an Oracle account. Homework assignments must be submitted before or on the due date before the class begins.  No homework assignments will be accepted late if solutions are distributed. You must use your Oracle account for your Oracle assignments. Any works done at someone else’s account will be considered as cheating.

Exams

There will be two exams: one mid-term and one final. No exams will be given late unless arrangements are made in advance, or unless a written note (e.g., from a doctor) is supplied.

Group Projects

Each student or group (3 or 4 students per group) must complete a project. Group assignments will be made later. An overall project grade will be awarded for the whole group, then modified if necessary to reflect the contribution of each student.

Detailed project guidelines are available here. All projects must be supplied in hard copy and electronic formats. No project will be accepted late. You (or your group) may be required to schedule about 10-minute demonstration session. The demonstration will be done at the classroom before the final exam week.

Policy

Students are responsible for covering the material of any classes that they miss. Do not ask the instructor! Each homework assignment, and exam should be done individually.  You may discuss the class materials and homework problems with your classmates, but you should not copy, mimic, or cheat in any way. Any cheating is zero-tolerant in this course. Any cheating will be graded F and properly handled according to the college policy.
